Night Of Eid-ul-Adh'haa

Author: Islaam.org

The nights of both Eid are described in the Hadeeth as amongst the great and sacred nights in the Muslim calendar. To remain awake on the nights of Eid and perform ibaadah is a source of great virtue and reward.

Abu Umaarah radhi allahu anhu relates that Rasulullah peace be upon him said:

"Whoever stays awake and performs ibaadah (worship) on the night on the two Eid, with hope for abundant reward (from Allah subhanahu wata'ala), his heart will not die on the day (i.e. Qiyaamah) when all hearts will be dead.''
